This is the time that I reflect and plan for the coming year.  Hot tea, long conversations, and planning grids rule the first few weeks of January.  So here I sit, thinking about 2014 in Quarter segments...what will be good prizes in the kennel  Easter egg hunt eggs…wonder if any eggs will get peed on this year…Humm wonder if Emma will prefer Butterfly wings or ears for hunting…Hunter will be back for this years  hunt, he needs wings ..Air conditioning service yeah must be done, but my toes are so cold right now (it’s 1°F) where’s Fozzy he’s the best toe warmer…more winter dog coats for daycare pups…Spring means birthday parties- Henry loves those!

Screeeeecccchhh !! My random thoughts forming into plans are shot! Cat nails racking down the window!  And what to my wondering eyes should appear,  Gus & Switch …. I am 100% convinced that they knew the Janus status image in my head spurring on my planning and found a way to clearly communicate that CAT PLANS must be included…..Horns for Halloween or mind reading headgear  …head gear winds….now… fortune teller head wrap or Magneto theme Hahahah  one for each cat scheduled on 31 Oct 2014…..

Okay it's all of 8F degrees of outside and you think I'm going out to walk a dog....haha Rachann is nuts!  

Sure I'm nuts just ask my family,  I wanted you to find and fit the leashes & harnesses not walk .... in our family focus without jumping the gun is challenging too.

You found the or purchased a harness.   If pups reflect us and we reflect our pups then it's likely the harness needed to be adjusted ...up or down.  After all, l we (pups and us) are dynamic creatures.  

Can you comfortably walk you pup through the Hall?  If not why?  ....add a comment below, I'll answer you.

My Fiona HATES to wear a coat or harness or anything that she preceives to inhibit her natural naked with fur state.  I would get her ready ton go and she'd lay down refusing in her best passive resistance possible.   SO out smart her.  Leaving it on only resulted in mournful sounds of an unnatural death.  However, she can't resist a been belly rub. We started a new tradition:

seeing the harness=belly rub

 laying the harnesses on her back= belly rub

Moving the harnesses over her legs=belly rub

Putting on the harness=belly rub Great I  thought...haha 

 wrong ! Now Fiona would lay there on her back with the best passive smile knowing just what she was up to.  Well I had a few thought on how to get her going as I'm sure you can imagine.  Then it hit me.  I had been having computer issues that morning and reset cleared them.  SO I picked her up reset her paws on the floor with so much fanfare and excitment then i took off back her singing and skipping to the dog cookie jar.   She was at my heels like a shot NEEDING a cookie.   

To this day she still lays down to have her harness clipped close,  but everyone has their thing.

When I changed from a corporate career to a dog career the pounds fell off due to all the walking.   Several folks have asked about how to do this.  We've all read about pups as an exercise partner. Does it work sure if both the pups and people are into it.   So we' ll be posting & talking about inspiration,  ideas, challenges,  and anything else that happens or comes to mind. 

Ok I've read about it, and so have you. .. now its time to try it.   When I changed my working world from a desk career to a dog career, the pounds fell off because of all the extra walking.  Well bodies adapt & dogs do too &  personal motivation shifts.

 So here it our little inspiration.. .. each week I'll post or talk about activities, places, ideas, challenges, and the like to keep us and our pups functioning to enjoy our lives together
